Much of the housing in Westside is relatively new: half of its homes were built after 1995, compared with 1980 for the U.S. as a whole. The median year built has moved up from 1992 in 2006–10, a sign of steady new building. The newest homes are mostly in the northwest, the oldest in the southeast.
